Hello! I am Lisa TheX aka Brown Whiskey Woman. Not long ago in a land called Louisville, Kentucky I tasted a lot of whiskey, took a challenging test and became an Executive Bourbon Steward. In short, I drink whiskey and know a thing or two about it!

As stories go…while in college waaaay back in the 80s. I tried to drink the clears. Vodka, Tequila and Gin just didn’t agree with me. They all left me worshipping the Porcelain Goddess (the toilet) or with a bad hangover. I wanted to be one of the cool kids and drink all that stuff but just couldn’t. Soon after graduation, I worked with a woman who introduced me to Jack Daniels. We sat at her kitchen table with a huge bottle of Jack between us. She said, “Try this!” In my mind only Marshall Dillon and Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke (which my mother watched ALL the time) drank whiskey. I was a little apprehensive to say the least, but I was also curious. I mean Marshall and Kitty were kind of bad ass. My friend was too. So, I took a swig. That first Kentucky Hug (the burn going down the throat) was something!

BUT…We drank that whole bottle and laughed and laughed and laughed. Then something magical happened. NO visits to the toilet that night and NO hangover the next day. THAT was the real birth of Brown Whiskey Woman roughly about 35 years ago (and yes, I was of legal drinking age).

Becoming an Executive Bourbon Steward was a natural evolution so during the Covid19 Pandemic I did just that. I also made some great connections through the Twitch Platform. It was there I was encouraged to become “The Brown Whiskey Woman”. Shout out to the men behind and around “this” woman. DJ Braxx and DJ Vader Mixx, DJ Vance Dell and K-Lock of Lock and Key Media Group. So many of the Twitch Family were and are helpful in my journey. I love you all and am grateful for our paths to be crossed.
